Committees

This list of our committees, their goals, and the current committee members should help give a good sense of where you might fit in.

MEMBERSHIP AND ANNUAL GIVING
George Moellenbrock - Chair

Committee Goals - to increase the involvement of Centre County Citizens in the activities of the Trust. To communicate the benefits of membership and stimulate increased membership in the Trust. To identify and create funding opportunities from private, municipal and governmental resources. And to create alliances within the community; agricultural, educational, and governmental.

Volunteers with knowledge and interest in the following areas are needed by the committee:
- Fund raising policy and processes
- Grant writing
- Public and private funding source identification

BOARD DEVELOPMENT
Robert Anderson - Chair

The Board of Trustees is seeking volunteers with interest in making a difference in the place we live. Business and organizational management areas needed to perpetuate the Boards skills include : estate planning, tax accounting, financial management, land use management, conservation easement administration and public relations management.

Community Relations
Pete Schempf - Chair

Committee goal- to increase the community’s knowledge of  and affinity for the
preservation of Centre County farmland through programs, promotions and technology.
Committee members develop and produce communication programs that explain, attract
and educate the community about the benefits of farmland preservation
Volunteers with knowledge and interest in the following areas are  needed by the committee:
- Copy writing
- Event Planning
- Software application and web site management
- Print production and publishing
- Public relations 
- Media relations

LAND PRESERVATION
Norm Lathbury - Chair

Committee goal-
to develop a sustainable farmland preservation strategy. To develop and implement land conservation tools and techniques.
Volunteers with knowledge and interest in one or more of the following areas are needed by the committee:

- Deeds and surveys
- Conservation easement baseline documentation
- Conservation easement language
- Agricultural land management

FINANCE COMMITTEE
Danan Sharer - Chair.

The Trust Board is seeking support from volunteers with accounting and finance interest.
